TWC Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp

Semi-permanent mobile camp, set amidst the plains of the Serengeti National Park, Kati Kati offers an exceptional experience for those who are striving for  adventure and a close proximity to wildlife. Kati Kati Tented Camp is another high-comfort and budget-friendly option from the Tanganyika Wilderness Camps collection involved in nature conservation and improving the lives of the local people. Lighting and hot water are solar-powered, and the tents are mostly secluded in the trees and bushes to avoid intruding into the wildlife, and provide a secure cover for observing the neighbouring wildlife of the Serengeti plains.

The heart of the camp are the two large tents: the main tent with a dining area welcomes guests for meals, while another one serves as a lounge area. An extremely favorable location, right in the middle of the densely inhabited savannah, allows its guests to meet a plenty of wild animals in a sublime setting.

In the evenings, a campfire is welcoming the guests to have a drink and a chat, and evoke the highlights of the day. Finally, there comes the time for sleep. Sweet dreams in a homelike comfort of your tent! But the savannah never sleeps… Lulled by the surrounding sounds of nocturnal creatures, you can hear buffalos prowling in between the tents, hyenas laughing, lions roaring softly at the distance... or is it just next to you? It is, and you are in the very heart of wildlife!

TWC Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp on the map

Kati Kati Tented Camp is located in the Central Serengeti, in the very heart of the Seronera Region, which is right on the path of the Great Migration passing here from June to August. Two-hour drive will take you to the Grumeti River where you can feel the intense movement of the migrating wildebeests and zebras. The Grumeti River is the hardest hindrance on their way to the fresh greenery when the herds risk their lives trying to cross the waters and avoid being caught in the deadly jaws of the largest African crocodiles. Here you can visit Olduvai Gorge Museum containing the showcase of human evolution findings, and enjoy a scenic view of the Serengeti plains and the gorge. Visit to Moru Kopjes area will give you the chance to spot a black rhino whose populations have recently declined dramatically. And Seronera Valley will guide you to a massive diversity of wildlife with the highest concentrations of predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas.
