Situated on the slopes of Mt. Meru Ngare Sero Lodge is an ideal place to dive into the local flora and fauna and melt in the beauty of East Africa. The lodge previously was a colonial farmhouse built in early 20th century. Therefore, Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge in Arusha is one of the oldest family lodges and preserves a lot of history. It is a perfect place for the overnights in between Kilimanjaro climbing and safaris as well as for the longer stays. Ngare Sero provides ten beautiful garden rooms in old colonial style, two suites in the main house, one farm cottage with 3 bedrooms and one freshly-built summit suite located on the top of the main house.

For those who prefer to take their time and enjoy the African beauty as much as possible, Ngare Sero offers gondola tours in the lake located on its territory, bird-watching in their lush jungle grove, horse riding, mountain biking around Mt. Meru slopes and croquet.

Summit Suite

A freshly-built Summit Suite is situated on the loft of the main house. The suite provides 160 square meters of spacious living room, two bedrooms with private bathrooms. Each bathroom has a bathtub next to the window facing a lush garden view and a walk-in shower. The Summit Suite is created in an oriental style filled with antique furniture. Each bedroom is equipped with a king-size bed, an ottoman sofa and a little dressing room. All the essentials are included.

Farm Cottage

Farm Cottage is a perfect place for a big family or a group of friends. The cottage hides a massive history as it was built in the ‘50s for a farm manager’s home; this is where the name is from. Now it’s a private villa for those who arrive in Tanzania to appreciate local culture and nature. The old-colonial styled cottage has two bedrooms with private bathrooms for each, art kitchen, living and dining rooms. From a private patio or balcony, you can enjoy Mt. Meru summit view. The Farm Cottage is a separate building, but only 3 minutes walking from the main house. Farm Cottage can accommodate up to 5 people.

Main House Room

Airy suites have a little living-room area, spacious bathroom with a bathtub, bedroom with a king-size bed and a spacious veranda facing Kilimanjaro summit view. Upon request, breakfast can be served on your private patio so that you can enjoy your meal with a unique view. The sofa in the living room can be used as a third bed for a child.

Garden Room

Ten ethnic-styled rooms are facing a beautiful garden with neat lawn, bougainvillaea and jacaranda trees from private terraces. Eight of the rooms are equipped with king-size double beds, and the other two have two twin beds. Apart from that, every room has an ottoman sofa which can be used as a third bed for a child. You will find a spacious bathroom with a sink and a bathtub, and also a little dressing room. You will find all the essential toiletries inside the bathroom.
