Grumeti Migration Camp

Grumeti Migration Camp

Grumeti Migration Camp 5*

On a hill overlooking a breathtaking expanse of African savannah, securely hidden among trees and grass, Grumeti Migration Camp is a perfect place to experience the proximity to the abundant wildlife of the Serengeti National Park. Also known as Eco Lodge, Grumeti Migration Camp is committed to the policy of sustainable development, environmental protection and nature conservation.

Nineteen luxury tents are discreetly secluded amidst the landscape, blended into the natural surroundings causing no disturbance to the wildlife. Nurturing treatment of the unique African environment is the most distinctive advantage of Grumeti Migration Camp. Wildebeest, zebras and gazelles, passing along on their way of the Great Wildebeest Migration, feed peacefully around the camp, imminently followed by predators pursuing their prey.

Guests can enjoy this delightful view while having breakfast on the terrace, in a restaurant area, or while having a picnic on a game safari drive. You will appreciate the privacy of your stay, which is achieved through a free-standing arrangement of tents scattered among the greenery and interconnected by paved pathways. The entire camping is solar-powered, including the supply of en-suite hot water warmed up by the African sunlight. Tents constructed on raised platforms do not prevent the local wildlife from their unhindered movement under the structures. For Grumeti Migration Camp, eco-awareness is the key rule for ensuring the care for both their guests and a unique African environment.

Grumeti Migration Camp on the map

A remote location of Grumeti Migration Camp in the area of the Grumeti Game Reserve allows guests to witness the culmination point of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Grumeti Game Reserve is a secluded area in the western region of the Serengeti ecosystem. Grumeti Migration Camp enjoys its extreme proximity to the western migration corridor where thousands of wildebeest and zebras can be seen from June to August, crossing the dangerous waters of the Grumeti River, pursued relentlessly by lions, leopards and cheetahs, at the risk of ending up in the jaws of Africa’s largest crocodiles. The seclusion of the Grumeti region gives the chance to easily merge with a truly unique nature in its immense diversity of 400 bird species, 45 species of herbivores and 25 species of carnivores.
